Cineworld Newcastle to Launch 4DX Screen

North East film buffs will soon be able to enjoy the latest in immersive cinema as Cineworld Newcastle launches its new 4dx screen on December 20th.

Based in The Gate, 4dx will offer customers the opportunity to see the latest movies from high-tech motion seats, surrounded by special effects such as wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water and scents. 4DX is considered to be one of the biggest innovations in cinematic technology. Available in both 2D and 3D formats, 4DX works in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen, creating the most exhilarating cinema experience yet.

John Hodgson, Cineworld Newcastle General Manager, said: “We’re really excited to introduce cinema-goers to our new 4DX screen on the 20^th December. There’s nothing like it and it can only be experienced in the UK at Cineworld. We’re opening the screen with a fantastic line-up of movies such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which has been perfectly adapted to suit 4DX. We cannot wait to see customers’ reactions when they try out the completely immersive experience!”

Cinema fans can take advantage of a range of offers at Cineworld Newcastle including weekly discounted Movies for Juniors screenings for just £2.50 on selected weekend mornings and school holidays, as well as Student NUS discount.

Better yet, if you’re a Cineworld Unlimited Cardholder, you can also enjoy an unlimited number of films per month for just £17.90 per month (or £20.40 for London West End cinemas). The Unlimited Card also allows holders to enjoy 10% off cinema snacks and drinks; local offers at restaurants and shops such as Frankie and Benny’s, Chiquito and Pizza Hut, as well as exclusive advance screenings to upcoming movies.
